What discussion forum users should expect and encourage:

1. Colleagues will be friendly and helpful because of a common purpose in librarianship.

2. Colleagues will not intentionally offend members directly by using degrading vocabulary.

3. Colleagues will not make privately addressed communications public.

4. Colleagues will respect generally accepted rules of community behavior.

5. Colleagues will tolerate diverse viewpoints (in matters of librarianship and other related aspects of this career) and will tolerate the personal styles in which these viewpoints are expressed.

Unprofessional behavior such as making personal attacks on other members or the use of profanity will result in the offender receiving a private warning email from the moderator. If poor behavior persists, at the discretion of the moderator, the offender will be banned from Courtport.com. We support freedom of speech, so people will not be banned for their ideas, they will be banned for their behaviors.
